Strong GCSE Results in the Arts and English Fast Track Success

A** all the way for Patrick
Huge congratulations to Patrick Collins who gained nine of the new level 9s, including Maths, English Language and Literature and all three Sciences. The new level 9 is the equivalent of an A**, with average marks typically in excess of 95%. Patrick will go on to study A levels in Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
Norwich City FC Academy Success
Norwich City FC Academy scholar Matthew Richardson moves into full time football with the equivalent of six A and A* grades. Matthew joined Langley in Year 10 as part of the educational partnership between the school and football club, completing a fast track GCSE in PE in just 12 weeks with an A* grade.
First Class All Round Education
Langley boarding pupil and hockey player Imogen, has gained eight GCSEs at grades 8 and 9, including Science, Design Technology and PE, which she sat a year early in Year 10. Langley supports a number of pupils to sit exams early to reduce stress and pressure in Year 11.
Half of all pupils completing GCSE Photography have gained the equivalent of A and A* grades, with three achieving the top level 9. Coupled with strong results in Music, Art and Design, and Drama, Langley has stunning results across the Arts.
Fast Track Success
For the first time, all Year 10 pupils sat their GCSE English Language exam a year early. Huge congratulations go to James Kerridge, Robert McCall, Charlie Peacock and Finn Spear who have all gained to the new level 9. As a demonstration of the school’s Growth Mindset ethos, those pupils with a level 4 and above now move on to English Literature in Year 11, with those who didn’t gain at least a 4 working to secure a pass at the end of Year 11.
Pupils have also sat early GCSEs in PE and ICT, with thirteen out of fifteen pupils in ICT gaining A and A* grades.
Verity has achieved the equivalent of 8 grades at A and A*, including two of the new level 9 grades in Art and Photography. Verity is part of a hugely talented group of pupils in our Artsmark subjects, who have contributed to the school gained the Artsmark Gold accreditation.
