Boarding

Occupying a 110-acre site with Grade I listed grounds designed by Capability Brown, Langley School is situated 8 miles South of Norwich. Giving us the advantage of being rural, yet allowing easy access to both road and rail links direct to London and Stansted Airports.

Langley offers the perfect environment to live and learn together, giving students the chance to make lifelong friendships. The community of boarding students at Langley plays a vital role in the life of the school.
We understand that it’s never easy to leave the comfort of your family and friends. That’s why we make every effort to ensure that Langley feels like a home away from home for our students. We do our utmost to cater for the needs of our boarding community and provide them with a safe, friendly and supportive environment.
Routine at Langley
We understand the important role that routine plays for our students. Many of our boarders have never lived away from their families, or in a different country and so ensuring that they feel supported and part of our community is vital from the moment they arrive.
Weekday Mornings – Before breakfast, students get washed, dressed and tidy their rooms before taking their laundry down on the way to breakfast. They return to rooms to gather their belongings, before attending school in the classrooms which are located a short walk from their accommodation.
Weekday Afternoons – Each afternoon there is a range of over 80 extra-curricular activities to participate in.
Weekday afternoons – From 17:00 – 17:45 there is a period of free time, followed by an evening meal and supervised prep. The length of prep varies according to age group. At the end of prep, staff open up the kitchens for ‘Tea and Toast’. Students are then free to use the facilities of the school until their bedtimes. These range from 21:00 – 23:00, depending on age.
Weekends – Weekends move at a much slower pace. Resident staff offer a programme of activities including visits, events and outings to encourage students to make effective use of their leisure time.
