The PTFA’s Summer Fete was a great success and was very well supported on a warm afternoon.

Old favourites such as hook a duck, coconut shy, tombola and face painting were to be found among a huge variety of stalls, run by Year 7 and 8 pupils, staff, parents and grandparents. Performances from the School Rock Band and Choir were also greatly enjoyed.

Head of Art, Nigel Edwards, offered arts and crafts activities, alongside his popular ‘Find the School Bear’. There were also opportunities to test sporting skills with a crazy golf, Mr Ryan Findlay’s ‘Beat the Cricketer’, Mr Grant Dixon’s ‘Beat the Goalie’, as well as a Velcro wall, bungee run, bouncy castle, rodeo/surfing simulator and jungle run.

A big thank you to PTFA chair Mrs Charlotte Wood, all PTFA committee members, and everyone who kindly set up and helped out. A fantastic amount of £1,400 was raised. Thank you also to Mr Chipperfield for kindly organising the delicious food, expertly cooked by Headmaster Mr Mike Crossley and his team on the barbecue.

Funds raised by the fete will go towards requests from the School Council.
