Pre-Prep children were treated to a delightful assembly led by our peripatetic violin teacher Mr George Weiss. He was ably assisted by a Year 2 pupil who, using his best Growth Mindset skills, was ‘Brave and had a go’ at performing a piece called ‘Old Timer’ he had not even rehearsed with Mr Weiss! Together they played a lovely piece called ‘Paganini!’. The Pre-Prep children then learnt about the four strings and listened to the range of notes they can make. Mollie A (Year 1) and Arthur L (Year 2) then had the chance to play with Mr Weiss and keep a pulse.
Mollie A said, “I liked picking the strings with my fingers. I would like to learn to play the violin.”
