A yoga hobby has been introduced this term and is proving very popular with our Pre-Prep children.
The children focus on building their girdle muscles and the exercises they do help to develop their small and large gross motor skills.
They learn about their emotions and how to self regulate these emotions in order to relax. They also work on confidence building, making eye contact and building friendships.
Each week there is a new theme to engage the children’s curiosity. They loved bug week when they talked about the life cycle of a butterfly and learned the poses that resemble butterflies.
The children are totally engaged and love every minute of their hobby.

“I love yoga, it helps me relax” explains Scarlett.
