Four of our pupils from Year 8 entered the CyberFirst Girls Competition created by the National Security Cyber Centre. The competition was an opportunity for the pupils to learn something new about cyber security.
CyberFirst began as a programme of opportunities to help young people explore their passion for technology by introducing them to the world of cyber security. Their aim is to inspire the next generation of cyber security professionals.
The pupils took part in the team event and competed to crack a series of online puzzles and challenges on subjects such as logic, cryptography and networking. The competition was an excellent opportunity for the pupils to have fun and to test their cyber skills.
“The competition was fun and challenging,” said Cara.
“My favourite part was the Tic Tac Toe puzzle. It required perseverance but in the end I succeeded!” said Summer.
