A warm welcome back to existing parents, and, to all new parents, welcome to the School.


We would like to invite all parents, whether new to the School or ‘old timers’ to this term’s events:

  • Fireworks and Bonfire evening, 8 Nov, from 5pm, Pavilion.
  • Christmas Shopping, 14 November, 2.00 – 6.00 pm, Main school building, anybody wishing to have a stall please email ptfa@taverhamhall.co.uk
  • Children’s Christmas Fair, 12 December, 3.30pm – 5.30pm, Sportshall.
  • Celebrity Casino Night, NEW DATE: 1 Feb 7.00 -11.00 pm, Main school building, £5 tickets available from School Office

Please join us at as many of our events where you can; we look forward to seeing you at these and at our Annual General Meeting which will take place on Thursday 19 September 9.00am, main school building. As ever, any help you can give at our events, no matter how small, is always much appreciated!

The amount raised by the PTFA last academic year was £4,137.73 and we have been able to provide the School with classroom visualisers for all year groups,  reading sheds for Early Years, shed and tools for Forest School, cladding for the swimming pool changing room walls,  and a Nest Swing for the Prep School by special request of the pupils’ School Council. This is in addition to the usual PTFA contribution to the Year 8 Leavers’ party and the availability of a PTFA gazebo which can be used by all departments in the School.

50/50 Club

Details went out to parents about the new 50/50 Club the PTFA has launched and this month’s (September) winner is Claire W, number 1 – many congratulations and thank you for supporting the PTFA with this new initiative.

The 50/50 Club is open to family and friends of the children (provided they are over 16 years) and is a fun opportunity to raise money for the School whilst being entered into a monthly draw to win a cash prize.

How does it work?
Club members contribute £2 per month and are given a club number. All member contributions go into a prize pot and each month a winning number is drawn. The lucky person who owns that number gets 50% of the pot, with the other 50% going towards the PTFA’s fundraising.

The more members we have the more we raise for the School and the bigger the prize pot. If we can get 100 in the club, each month we can raise £100 for the School and hand out a £100 prize!

How do you join?
Joining is very simple. Request your 50:50 Club Application Form via email at ptfa@taverhamhall.co.uk  and pay an annual subscription of £24 to be part of the club for 12 months. Twelve months includes 12 draws which will run every month including school holidays.

How and when is the winner drawn?
Mr Hamilton will lead a live draw on the 5th of each month. The winning number will be announced on the PTFA’s Parents Resource Facebook page and via the School’s weekly Various Notices email.

How will the funds raised be used?
The money raised by the 50:50 Club will be set aside exclusively for a refurbishment of the School’s swimming pool and building. The swimming pool is being utilised by all year groups and our school community is benefiting from some excellent instruction and enthusiasm from swimming coach Mrs Heatley and Mrs Hood and Mr Martin from the School’s sports department.
