Our Magna Voce performed brilliantly in the Norfolk County Music Festival at St Andrews Hall, Norwich.
Many schools from around the county participated in the event, with 8 schools in total performing in our session. Pupils found much courage to perform on such a big stage in front of a big audience.
They sang in 2-parts, performing ‘Believer’ arranged by Mark Brymer and ‘Glorious’ by Stephanie Mabey. Our Head Choristers, Summer N and Louis M introduced the choir and their songs.
The adjudicator, Lin Marsh, a highly sought-after composer, specialising in vocal works for young people, awarded Magna Voce ‘Commended Performance Plus.’ The feedback she gave was absolutely fantastic and Magna Voce should be extremely proud of themselves. Wonderful comments were made by Lin Marsh, such as:

“Energy and clarity.”
“Low notes very strong and parts secure and clear.”
“Very confident.”
“Real sense of ensemble.”
“Great clarity with tricky and fast words.”
“Followed your conductor so well.”
“Endings neat and rhythms always tight.”
“Good use of dynamics.”

Pupils thoroughly enjoyed not only performing but being able to watch other choirs perform too. Daisy L said “I love being able to eat my lunch whilst watching the other choirs.” It was such a beneficial experience and extremely helpful to receive feedback from a vocal specialist.
Magna Voce made Miss Briggs feel extremely proud. Well done!
