Early Years and Reception joined together for a performance about harvest. We sang songs about harvest time and included our very own artwork from the Acorns and Oaks. Reception used props of a red and orange leaves on their hands to go with our harvest poem. The children also were able to show their impressive use of sign whilst singing. The children joined in with Reverend Seabrook talking about how harvest is not only for the people of the world but also the animals. The performance was watched by family and friends and we were honoured to have some visitors from Chiswick House Care Home join us. All the spectators joined in and gave a very loud applause at the end of the show. Thank you to everyone for your wonderful donations of food that will be donated to the Norwich Foodbank and to Mrs Skipper for playing the piano and teaching us all the songs and signs and to Reverend Seabrook for coming along.
Year 1 & 2 Harvest Festival
What a lovely way to welcome the arrival of Autumn! Year 1 and Year 2 spent Friday morning at St. Edmund’s Church celebrating the Harvest Festival. Each class performed well, as they remembered their lines and filled the church with their beautiful voices. Reverend Seabrook was particularly appreciative of those children who assisted him with his address about the meaning of harvest. Carrots seemed to be the vegetable of choice! We wonder what delicious dish can be made with yam?
Francesca from Y1 said, “I really enjoyed going to the church and singing this morning”. Emily from Year 1 thought the church looked really pretty.
We want to thank everybody for their kind donations of food and money, supporting those in need this harvest time. Thank you to Mrs Buckley for the vegetable display photo.
