From Head of Pre-Prep, Mrs Skipper:
Thank you so much for all the wonderful emails you’ve sent in about what your children have been doing so far during their home learning. It is always a delight to hear and see what has been happening, especially when we can’t all be together in Pre-Prep as normal.
It has been so nice to receive the updates that we wanted to share the following examples of exactly how some of our pupils have been keeping up with their remote learning, while staying active and having fun.
Working together, Early Years and Reception siblings have been cooking and making lovely rainbows, while a Reception pupil has been practising counting and ordering dinosaurs. Elsewhere, a Year 1 pupil has made their own newsletter as a way of recording what they have been up to.
There’s been lots of brilliantly creative rainbows from our Year 2s. One pupil even added all the people in his life to his rainbow, while another had a photo with her rainbow in front of a very special tree.
Cooking has been a highlight for many pupils as they take inspiration from parents and celebrity chefs. Others have been using their Forest School knowledge and skills at home, which is great to see.
Another set of siblings, this time from Years 2 and 3, created their own classroom and have been busy making their own house point chart – very impressive indeed.
One Year 2 pupil kept active by taking Karate lessons on Zoom, and another Year 2 pupil had the unique experience of delivering her first baby lamb.
Thank you to all of you who have shared your remote learning examples with us so far, and we really looking forward to hearing more about what you get up.
