If you wish to apply for a place at Langley School, you can submit an application form and pay the £75 registration fee (*bank details available upon request).
The form can be downloaded using the below link to submit by post or email. You will receive confirmation that your application has been received and processed.
The application process typically begins up to 12 months prior to joining the school, although we are happy to consider applications later in the year as long as places are available in the relevant year group.
Upon receipt of an application, Admissions will contact the pupil’s current school to request a copy of the most recent school reference.
Once the reference, and if relevant the examination papers, have been returned, the Headmaster’s PA will contact you to arrange an interview with the Headmaster.
After interview, you will be contacted via letter with regard to whether a place at Langley School is being offered. You must inform Admissions whether you wish to accept the place within the time frame given.
Before completing an application, we will require the following documents:
Passport Copy (inside front and back colour images)
*If English is not the first/home language, we request a Handwritten Piece (*MUST BE HANDWRITTEN, should take no more than 20 minutes. This can be any subject of the student’s choice, but most choose to tell us about themselves, their families, favourite subjects and hobbies).
When all documents have been submitted, they are passed to Mrs Jo Butt (Head of EAL) to assess. Once approval has been given, we ask for a completed application form and £75 registration fee. (Skype meetings/interviews are offered, as is a visit to the school if required).
On receipt of application and registration fee, the Admissions Officer will request an invoice from our Accounts Department. (International students are invoiced for laundry, plus CAS/Tier 4 charge (if applicable), LPTA – plus the refundable deposit, which is a full term’s fees). Parents need to prove during the Tier 4 application process that they can pay a whole year’s fees.
If the Headmaster and Head of EAL Department choose to offer, an Offer letter is sent via email, with invoice, parent contract and acceptance form. Closing date given. *We can extend this date in some cases if need be.
Once the acceptance deposit is received/cleared and acceptance form received – the application status is changed to Accepted and your place reserved.
