Our Scholarships and Bursaries

Scholarships

If you believe that your son or daughter could contribute significantly to the depth of talent at Langley School, please apply for one of the scholarships available. Scholarship applications are only accepted from those who have submitted an application to the school and met the school’s academic entrance requirements.
We offer between 10-20% scholarships, any further financial assistance would be means-tested through a bursary application.

Academic scholarships

Academic scholarships are available at entry into Years 6, 7 and 9. Applicants will be tested on English, Mathematics, Science and Non-Verbal Reasoning.

Non-academic scholarships

For excellence in Art, Drama, Music, Sport, Languages and Design and Technology. Assessment is by evidence of achievement, audition/trial/practical exercise and interview, available at entry into Years 6, 7 and 9.

Sixth Form scholarships

Sixth Form Academic Scholarship Awards are made to recognise exceptional academic talent; those who have achieved 63 points in their best nine GCSE exams. (This the equivalent to nine GCSE grades at 7 or above). Awards are also given to those who have an average added values (AV) score of at least one grade per subject. (The AV is calculated as the difference between grades predicted from Year 9 cognitive ability test and actual grades awarded.) These awards are for both internal and external candidates.

Bursaries

Langley schools offer means tested bursaries to parents who satisfy entry requirements and whose families would be otherwise unable to afford full fees.
Bursaries are dependent on the level of parental income and are reviewed on a annual basis.
