We are delighted to announce that Otis Headon in Year 6 has been shortlisted from over 200 entries to one of seven prize winners in the Young Norfolk Writing Competition at the National Centre for Writing in Norwich. His winning entry was a comic, rhyming poem called Ba Ba Black Sheep. Otis has been invited to perform his poem at an awards ceremony at Dragon Hall on 5th July.

Following on from Otis’s shortlisted announcement, Otis had a fantastic time at the awards ceremony and was absolutely buzzing all the way home. The standard of work was phenomenal – a very inspiring event. Otis read his piece in full and did really well, the audience laughed in all the right places which really helped him feel confident. They were presented with their certificates by Norwich A&E nurse and poet Piers Harrison-Reid.
