Our Year 11 Business pupils enjoyed a fascinating talk by Caroline Pain, Senior Vice President of Customer Proposition for Aetna International and one of our Langley Governors.
After a brief introduction on the role of customer proposition, pupils were then set to work on a couple of marketing challenges. In the ensuing discussion pupils were able to showcase their creative thinking and their understanding of the world of marketing as well as receiving feedback on the practicality of their ideas. The session finished with a round-up on careers in marketing particularly the key growth areas. This talk really highlighted and gave practical examples to some of the more recent additions to the specification and really brought this whole topic to life. It is always an area that pupils find interesting so it was a valuable chance for them to find out more, especially as so many pupils go on to consider a marketing based career.
