Our Photography department will exhibit a selection of work at the turn the page Artists Book Fair held at The Forum in Norwich on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th May. Please do come and see us!

In Photography, at all levels, books are integral to what we do. Books in the form of artists monographs, zines and indie publications form the bedrock of research and inspire our projects. In turn, books often become the method of output for the student’s own work as part of their final outcomes. These range from simple mock-ups, small blocks, multiple books produced in a series, or experimental outcomes such as books made from repurposed and recycled materials.

The images here are actual pages from Upper Sixth student Alfie B’s A Level Photography project, using his own images and overlaid with text generated from the ‘What3words’ mapping application. What3words is a geocode system for the communication of locations with a resolution of three metres. What3words encodes geographic coordinates into three dictionary words.

We’re really excited and will keep you posted about the event, which can be viewed here: https://www.turnthepage.org.uk/
