Although our Food Preparation and Nutrition department can’t run its normal schedule at school, its classes continue as pupils take to their family kitchens and produce some excellent practical work using what they have at home.

As Year 8 pupils have been researching herbs and spices, Arlo G made a paprika chicken burger, while Tabatha H made some oregano seasoned burgers. We’ve seen lots of brilliant baking too, including some fun-shaped cheese scones by Oliver S and a fruit cake from Rosie M.

Year 9 pupils have been planning a two-course meal from store cupboard staples and, as a result, Raymond W made amazing pizza pinwheels and muffins. Meanwhile, Year 10 pupils have been researching culinary traditions, and Guy K’s curry and rice looks delicious.
