As the final part of the Langley journey, our Sixth Form students are encouraged to work and play hard. With an emphasis on care and support, we welcome current Langley Senior School students and external students from across the UK as well as those from further afield to our Sixth Form.
So whether your child wants to focus their future career on arts, academic, sports or somewhere in between, we can help them shine.
What makes Langley Sixth Form special?
Life in Langley’s Sixth Form encompasses hard work, responsibility and aims to develop resilient, life-long learners. We inspire and engage our students so that they can develop their talents, celebrate their successes and learn from their mistakes.
Small class sizes
Smaller class sizes ensure that learning is tailored to the individual needs of our students. Langley’s smaller class sizes also foster excellent, productive, student-teacher relationships.
Extra-curricular activities such as specialist subject seminars, revision conferences, Model UN, debating, quizzing, theatre excursions, international trips, university visits and careers conventions give students the opportunity to learn and experience new things – often enhancing the subjects being studied.
Students have the opportunity to develop leadership skills and accept positions of responsibility. We encourage students to take on roles such as volunteering as a school prefect, becoming a house captain or the chair of a club or society. They can also apply for and hold senior positions on the Langley School Voice as well as Heads of School. Specific leadership skills can also be developed by participation in D of E, membership of the CCF, leading teams (in a whole variety of different areas such as sport, debating, Model UN, Business enterprise, Senior quiz) and via the House system.
As part of our huge investment in outstanding academic facilities we have a dedicated Sixth Form block with its own ICT suite, resource and seminar rooms, and a variety of work areas which together with excellent sporting facilities, such as the Astroturf for hockey, enables students to take part in a range of subjects both inside and outside of the classroom.
