Our Scholarships and Bursaries
If you believe that your son or daughter could contribute significantly to the depth of talent at Langley School, please apply for one of the scholarships available. Scholarship applications are only accepted from those who have submitted an application to the school and met the school’s academic entrance requirements.
We offer between 10-25% scholarships, any further financial assistance would be means-tested through a bursary application.
Academic scholarships are available at entry into Years 6, 7 and 9. Applicants will be tested on English, Mathematics, Science and Non-Verbal Reasoning
For excellence in Art, Drama, Music, Sport and Technology. Assessment is by evidence of achievement, audition/trial/practical exercise and interview, available at entry into Years 6, 7 and 9.
Sixth Form scholarships
A number of Sixth Form Scholarships are awarded to students from Langley School and elsewhere, based on their achievement either at GCSE in academic subjects or in non-academic subjects such as art, drama, music, sport and technology.
This category is open to students who excel on the academic front and also in one non-academic area. Candidates will be expected to sit the academic examinations and also provide supporting evidence for their other area of expertise.
Two scholarships are available for entry into Years 7, 9 and 12 for external candidates only, who are joining the school as a boarder. The categories are Academic and All-Rounder and the above criteria applies. If you are applying to join the school as a boarder you do not need to apply via the boarding scholarship; you can apply for a standard academic/non-academic scholarship.
Langley schools offer bursaries to students who satisfy the entry requirements of the school, demonstrate particular potential and whose families would be otherwise unable to afford full fees.
Bursaries are dependent on the level of parental income and are reviewed on a regular basis.
